The proportion of a customer’s total relevant and suitable business that is currently captured by a hotel. It compares the business the hotel receives from an account with the total business that account could realistically place with the hotel, taking into account factors such as location, dates, facilities, rate, travel patterns and customer requirements.

Example: If an account has 1,000 room nights that are suitable for your hotel and your hotel receives 400 of them, your estimated share of wallet is 40%.
