Celine Quek, an effective, bilingual, and experienced professional, has spent more than 25 years in the hospitality industry , specialising in both the Commercial and Operations disciplines. She started her hospitality career in Food and Beverage Operations and has moved into Sales & Marketing, Reservations, Front Office Operations, and Revenue Management in property, cluster, and corporate environments in Asia.
She spearheaded the automation of the annual business and operations plan, led the foundation setup of the commercial functions, including Revenue Management, Distribution, Sales, and Marketing, and assisted with the rebranding of hotels during her previous professional industry engagement.
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Celine is always upskilling herself and has acquired several professional certificates, including a Master Certificate in Hotel Revenue Management, focusing on Restaurant Revenue Management and a Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education. She is also a Certified Data Analyst, Certified Agile Facilitator, Certified Revenue Management Executive, and Coach.
She is also an active member of Amicale Internationale des Sous-Directeurs et Chefs de Réception des Grand Hôtels (AICR) and assisted in organising the AICR Singapore Chapter Receptionist Competition and served on the jury for the World Best Receptionist Competition.
She believes nothing encourages one to continue learning about a subject more than teaching it. She joined Republic Polytechnic as a Senior Lecturer to pursue her passion for nurturing new industry leaders. Since joining, she has led winning student teams in global competitions, including the STR Global Student Market Study and the inaugural HSMAI Foundation’s Global Collegiate Marketing Case Competition. She is a Certified Trainer for Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics and an authorised instructor for Certification in Advanced Hospitality and Tourism Analytics.
